Chicken Nuggets

3 kinds, BBQ, Doublet BBQ and plain

This recipe is for 4 people.

 

Ingredients: 

160 grams breadcrumbs 

80 grams panko

3 chicken breasts

250 grams BBQ sauce *

1 egg **

1 tablespoon thyme

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon garlic powder 

1 tablespoon tandoori* optional

1 tablespoon salt 

  1. tablespoon pepper 

 

*if you want to make a whole batch with BBQ then you need 380 grams of BBQ, and if you want to make it doublet BBQ, then you need 500 grams of BBQ

**if you want to make a whole plain batch you will need 3-4 eggs

 

How to: 

 

Preheat to oven to 200C / 390F

Cut the chicken breast out into pieces, the size is up to you. The bigger the size the longer they take to bake. I recommend 4X4 cm. 

Then in a bowl mix breadcrumbs, panko, thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, tandoori, salt and pepper. Mix it up so it is all combined. 

 

TIP: use one hand for the chicken and marinade, and the other hand for the breadcrumbs mix 

 

BBQ nugget: 

Put your BBQ sauce in a bowl, then take some chicken pieces put them in the BBQ and then in the breadcrumb mix. Lay them on a lined baking tray. 

 

Doublet BBQ nugget: 

Put your BBQ sauce in a bowl, then take some chicken pieces put them in the BBQ and then in the breadcrumb mix. Lay them on a lined baking tray. Then brush on some BBQ sauce on both sides of the nugget. 

 

Plain nugget: 

Crack the egg/eggs in a bowl. Mix them up with a fork. Then take some chicken pieces put them in the egg and then in the breadcrumb mix. Lay them on a lined baking tray. Then brush on some egg on both sides of the nugget. 

 

When all chicken nuggets are covered with breading, and evenly spread out on the baking tray. Bake them in the oven for 20-25 minutes. Make sure they are cooked
